Join in praying together during Lent (the next six weeks) for five important areas within the life of our church family . Take a section, a day and pause to pray.

Our Church Family (1 Peter 2:9-10)

We are so thankful for our church family here in Islandmagee and our heart’s desires is that we would more and more be the community of faith that God wants us to be.

Please pray that we would be …

  •  A people who Worship our Great God in Spirit and Truth as we gather together.

  • A people who Grow in our relationship with Jesus and    become more like Him.

  • A people who Serve God and each other using the grace gifts God has given us.

  • A people who Care and Love each other deeply.

  • A people who Reach Out to our local community and point others to Jesus.

Common Ground

The ministry and mission of ‘Common Ground’ has been a source of encouragement over the last 18 months, to many across the three church families of Ballycarry, Islandmagee and Whitehead. Please pray …

  • That the Kirk Sessions would know God’s clear leading and guiding concerning this ministry initiative.

  • That over the coming months in each church family, there would be a growing and strengthening connection with the ministry of Common Ground.

  • That this year’s Summer Week with SALT Factory Sports (21st to 27th July) would be used by God to connect with our three local communities and change lives.

Church Committee

In the coming months and at their meeting on the 27th March the committee will be making decisions concerning our property. Please pray …

  • For the property working group as they discuss options, work through challenges and bring proposals to committee.

  • For God’s wisdom as decisions are made.

  • For a unity in decisions and purpose.

  • That progress would be made smoothly and as quickly as possible.

Easter 2025

This Easter our heart’s desire is to connect with our local community. Our initial plan involves the following …

  • Messy Church: Palm Sunday in Islandmagee Community Centre

  • Easter Connect: Prayer Journey and Café space. 

Islandmagee Community Centre on Wed & Thurs mornings of Holy Week

& all day on Good Friday.

  • Good Friday Service in Community Centre

  • Easter Sunday morning praise service

Pray that these events and the good news of Jesus would bring people

to an encounter with Jesus this Easter.

Hope Explored

Hope Explored is a three session evangelistic course showing that Christianity offers real hope, peace and purpose. We hope to offer this course to our local community in May.

Please pray …

  • That as preparations begin, God would draw a team together to be a part of this ministry.

  • That as a congregation we would see more clearly the Amazing Grace of God in the Easter story and that we would be moved to invite others along to Hope Explored.

  • That as Hope Explored is spoken about and invites are given out, that God would lead people to come along.

  • That God in his grace would choose to use ‘Hope Explored’ to bring people into a relationship with Jesus.
