We finished our service on Sunday reflecting on the life of Boaz and how he displayed the Hesed love of God through his actions towards Ruth. The challenge to each of us was how might we love those that God loves - the widow, the poor, the outsider, the unloved. We heard about Tearfund’s emergency appeal for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Find out more by watching the video below. As a first practical step you might want to support this appeal. Ruth was commended by Boaz for taking shelter under God’s wings. We may find ourselves needing to take refuge under God’s wings. Why not take a few moments to read the verses, listen to the song and pray to God as you reflect on your personal circumstances and God’s care for you.
